In view of the upcoming 13th National Assembly elections, the Ministry of Home Affairs had instructed the Tabligh Jamaat not to gather at the Ijtema ground in Tongir. Therefore, the work of opening the pandal which was constructed in Tongi field on the occasion of Khuruj jod has already started.
Tabligh Jamaat Bangladesh (Shurai Nezam) media coordinator Habibullah Raihan informed on Wednesday (December 31). He said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has requested not to organize any kind of rally or event including Khuruz Jor on the banks of Turag River in Tongir before the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election. Our mentors always respect the decision of the administration. This time is no exception.
Habibullah Raihan said, those who would have participated in the Khurooz festival to be held on January 2, 3 and 4, i.e. those who were preparing to go out for chilla and three chilla on the road of Allah, have been asked to leave their respective districts and areas instead of gathering at Tongi Ijtema ground.
‘Those who went out in the way of Allah after five days of force, have also been informed by the rabbis not to come to the Ijtema ground now but to complete the time. There is no gathering in Tongi field.’
According to the government decision, Habibullah Raihan said that it has been decided to hold the World Ijtema in Tongi after the completion of the National Assembly elections.
